Finally! Pebble in, fitbit out!
First impressions:
1 Amazing feel on the wrist
2 Looks fabulous
3 Great Android companion app (would love one for Linux eventually)
4 Underwhelming display configuration
4.1 brightness / backlight configuration not very ergonomic (hopefully PEBKAC)
4.2 default font size is too small ( a future update may bring this )
5 Good vibration options -

Finally got my Pebble home or the intermediate stop. Worried it might be big for my wrist. Got confirmation from my awesome brother-in-law that it is manageable size-wise and is classy. One last wait before it lands on me. Sister said Grey strap is classy, and the Orange is fun. So, Orange is for work, and Grey on the road, it shall be.

Nästan allt funkar, men en av de viktigaste apparna som vore bra om den funkade i klockan gör det inte.

Since owning the original Pebble and Pebble Time I've gone off smart watches, but something about this made me want one. Maybe it's nostalgia but I'll have some fun with weird and wonderful watch faces I'm sure!

Hat denn jemand Erfahrung mit Gadgetbridge in Verbindung mit einer Pebble Time 2, oder Pebble Uhren Allgemein und kann dazu etwas berichten? Können die Watchfaces dann genutzt werden oder andere Pebble Apps?
Oder ist man dann im Auslieferungszustand festgenagelt? Wie ist die Einrichtung mit Gadgetbridge? -
Stimmt nicht ganz. Die offizielle App enthält Google Tracker (Crashlytics), und die Domain repebble.com liegt in den Amazon AWS.

My new #PebbleTime2 https://repebble.com/watch arrived right when I left for Melbourne. Now that I'm back in town I'm setting it up.
The motion-activated backlight isn't working and neither is step-counting, so I'm pretty certain the motion sensor or accelerometer or whatever in the watch is broken. *sigh*
I've emailed the company about it. We'll see what they say.

OK, figured out with the touch screen. Not many apps work with the pt2 touch.

Well so it turns out I got a faulty #Pebble #pebbletime2 unit so will probably get a replacement watch ship out hopefully soon. Main issue seems to be the touchscreen not working at all aside from the terrible battery life

Well my #Pebble time 2 came in the other day and so far it's great except for the fact that so far it looks like I'm only going to get 2 maybe 3 days out of battery life with wrist flick turn off, Hart rate monitor set to every 30 minutes, sleep tracking, and a watch face that only refreshes every minute. Open a bug report for it and the first thing they said was *right let's start by factory resetting your watch" I was like Nop, I only setup and don't fancy having to do that again.

After over a year of waiting, my new Pebble Time 2 watch is out for delivery today. Very much looking forward to playing around with it tonight when I get home.

Passend zu dem gestrigen habe ich direkt die Nyan Cat als watch-face konfiguriert.
Wie ich die neue pebble finde, werde ich dann berichten am Freitag / Samstag

My pebble time 2 arrived yesterday, really nice but I'm not convinced I like the strap. Luckily I ordered a new one from gadgetwraps before they sold out.

It's here! Quick impressions: it's awesome.
Looks good, the strap is very comfy, the build quality is superb, so far no faults or bugs that I've noticed. The Android app works well and Pebble OS is really smooth.
The only negative is that it defaults to imperial units and it took me a while to find all the options to cure it from this sickness 😁

I really missed my Pebble Watch when Google shut it down. Now it's open source, the founder brought it back, and, 280€ later, I finally have a #pebbletime2 on my wrist.
Impressed so far. iOS support isn't quite on par with Android, but after day one it's fine. Fewer features than my Apple Watch Ultra 2, mostly health stuff. For the rest, I was grabbing my phone anyway.
Good to be back in Pebble world. Will report if the excitement lasts.

Initial thoughts after an hour of usage:
• The build quality feels really good. Buttons could wiggle a bit less and feel a bit more comfortable to touch (the knurling and edges are a bit too harsh for my taste), but it's not an issue.
• Setup on Android was quick and easy.
• The charger is tiny and light and cute.
• The vibration motor is alright. It's not Apple Watch levels of satisfying, but better than my Fitbit Versa 2.
• Having a low-power always-on display is _amazing._
