  8. OST8 dropped for #beatsaber on #pcvr today!*

    It's a lot of fun, and visually the best one yet. It's 6 tracks like the last 4 were but they're all pretty varied in terms of difficulty and style. It's got Camellia, Dragonforce, Lindsay Sterling and Teminite x Boom Kitty who have been my consistent faves since OST 4.

    The new mechanics gimmick was the one teased in the free song we got earlier in the year - Danger by Teminite x Boom Kitty: Variable note speed. And oh boy, does The Master make use of it for pure evil in his sequel track.

    For a brief, beautiful moment I was #1 and K was #2 on the leaderboard for the Lindsay Sterling song (see pic). I bet that lasted all of 5 minutes.

    *It dropped for other platforms last week but AMD's latest crashfest driver update delayed the launch while it got fixed. AMD can't seem to avoid stepping on obvious rakes...

  11. Man #PCVR on Linux via a #Quest is so close to being a good experience for #VRChat, it's kinda frustrating. On the PC, #ALVR needs a LOT of tweaks from the default settings for good visual quality, but it does actually start looking pretty nice once you boost the encoder bitrate and resolution. Frustratingly, you have to take the headset off to adjust those settings, as ALVR doesn't have a way to adjust that from the software on the Quest and SteamVR's desktop passthru on Linux is flaky at best. Tracking quality varies widely too, frustratingly... Sometimes it's perfect, but other times it starts stuttering - and in the worst case scenario it gets hypersensitive and jittery, often in VRChat worlds with mirrors or other reflective surfaces.

    Idk if I need to keep tweaking on it, or just give up and boot Windows for the first time in forever.

  13. Prescription inserts for the have arrived; gave them a very quick test and they seem spot on! Hopefully over the weekend I'll give the PC adaptor a go. It's going to be intersting to see how for compares with the Meta Quest 2 for the same.

  19. Metro Awakening VR is looking like it could be the high quality VR shooter we have been looking for since Half-life: Alyx or at least that is the impression I got from the newly released trailer youtube.com/watch?v=R3-77MKew0

    Fairly sure this is going to make its way to #PCVR too since #VertigoGames usually does multiplatform. Might even get to #metaquest although that is going to require a lot more work since this is thankfully not looking like a Quest game ported to PSVR2 to me at all. Too bad #visionpro does not want to do VR...

  20. I just started my second play through of #arizonasunshine2. It's a fantastic #vr game. This time around I played it on my #pico4 headset using #alvr on #linux . And it worked flawlessly! I downloaded it from #steam, launched ALVR, launched the game and it worked without any tinkering. The experience is pretty much the same as using #virtualdesktop on #windows.

    I am amazed by the simplicity of #gaming on Linux these days!

  25. I just released 🐷⛑️Piggy Rescue🐖🐖🐖. An VR game about saving a bunch of little pigs swimming on the shore of a beach. 🐽⛵🐽🏖️🐽🌊🐽

    It's a two months project in my journey to learn gdscript.

    It's made in Godot4 and I'll be releasing the code in a few days so people could add more pets to rescue! 🐑🐇🐄🦄

  26. @hybridhavoc I would absolutely wait for some reviews of the #quest3. I recently upgraded from Quest 2 to #pico4 due to the higher resolution displays, lower weight and better FOV.

    I use it mostly as a wireless #PCVR headset using VirtualDesktop and I absolutely love it. The Quest 3 looks like it has the same advantages over the Quest 2 plus some nice additional features but at a much higher price poing.

So far, it is said to be launched on #PSVR2, but not #PCVR (yet). No one knows whether it is a PS exclusive or not.   30. Been testing out airlink on wifi 6 and I'm impressed but the wifi 6e update still hasn't happened so I'm waiting on that as well. Only problem I'm seemingly running into atm is on beatsaber through airlink I'll sometimes cut a block but the controller will randomly decide not to vibrate. I didn't realize how much I rely on that vibration until it just doesn't vibrate in the middle of a map. 😅

Wer #pcvr am Start hat, kann sogar gleich mit #Oculus, #Vive oder Windows #MR Headsets los legen. Da ich mit der #pico4 und meinem "schwachen" WLAN noch nicht ganz optimal verbunden bin, werde ich als erstes mal schauen, wie weit es ohne #VR-HW geht. Stay tuned.

  32. I'm really glad we are starting to see a few more standalone #vr and #ar headsets trickle out, especially the #pimax portal.

    This being said I would love to see someone bring out a standalone #pcvr headset that runs x86 games. I know it would natively be just as bad looking as the current arm headset games are, but at least I could get access to my games from #steam etc without needing to buy them again in a different store.

    Really hope the #valve deckard is real and does all this.
