🌐💙 Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day from PCB!
Today reminds us that accessibility must be part of everything we create.
Accessibility means alt text, screen reader friendly design, labeled buttons, keyboard navigation, accessible PDFs, audio description, clear headings, and good contrast.
Accessibility is not extra. It is a right, not a luxury.

PCB is happy to see the National Constitution Center expanding tactile offerings for blind & low vision visitors.
However, the current schedule is limited.
PCB encourages the Center to build on this progress.
We would welcome the chance to help think through what broader access could look like.
This is a good start. Let’s keep moving forward.
Accessibility is a right, not a luxury.

🐾🦮 Happy International Guide Dog Day
Guide dog partnerships are built on trust, teamwork, independence & safe travel. These highly trained dogs help many people who are blind or have low vision navigate the world.
PCB reminds everyone to respect working guide dog teams. Do not pet, feed or distract a guide dog while they are working.

⚖️ PCB Statement on ADA Title II Interim Final Rule
PCB joins the American Council of the Blind in opposing the delay of website accessibility regulations under ADA Title II.
After 14 years of advocacy, we believed accessible websites were finally within reach. This delay prolongs barriers for people who are blind or have low vision.
