  1. Ran Fallout: New Vegas with it and the performance doesn't differs from Linux, except I got a black screen with the video, and there is a small graphical glitch related to lighting, but could be a regression.

Pretty much as I thought, games work better through Wine than Linuxulator because of the shader support.

At the moment on FreeBSD (and GhostBSD) is better use Wine-devel package than the stable one for some issues with the 32bit support.

  2. The update to #Bazzite 44 has enabled waking from sleep with a #Steam controller. This worked before with other USB connected devices, so it was a bit odd the act of turning on a Steam controller, which uses a USB connected wireless puck, wouldn't wake from sleep.

    But it does now, 🙂

  3. Play free on your PC's browser: zerodutch.itch.io/dawnfall

Two days trying to break Dawnfall on my phone. My hands and fingers found bugs my tests never did, and a mobile version is close now.

    How deep have you gotten?

  4. Testing the graphic settings, the thing which slows down a lot the game are the shaders: dropped these at minimal, the graphic gets quite smooth.
Remains some micro stutter when the camera pans, thought, and seems a limit of the translation layer.

If there is a way to fix the issue of the campaign selection that crash the game, NWN 1 is good enough to be playable with the Linux native.

  5. In general seems the compatibility layer doesn't digest well a lot of graphical filters and options, they cause a devastating performance hit despite everything else, sounds and engine, works pretty well.
Seems depends also from game to game: UT at max setting runs pretty smooth, with a minuscule stutter in comparison run it native under Linux, but not to compromise gameplay.

Some ideas how improve things on NWN? I could try a bit.

  6. I believe to sort out the reason.
Somehow the game breaks when it search the available modules, and something most time causes it to hang.
Same also if you click some buttons before it has finished the checks.
You can load saves with no issues.

It is the only blocker, because if it manages to find the modules, the game runs... ok? It strutters, not badly as others, and you need to disable various graphic options to reduce the visual issue.

  7. Ran Neverwinter Nights 1, Beamdog edition, they do a Linux native version, I had a strange issue.
The game launches without the graphic issues I had with others, sound fine, and I think the picture quality on BSD is better honestly.
However the program hung a lot of times when I just selected a campaign.
Somehow, after have launch the game dozen of time, and ran the intro videos once, it works now?
What made it work? Somehow has an idea?

  8. The gameplay of #Enclave2002 feels like an extension of MediEvil, the exaggerated swings remind me of the moveset of Sir Daniel Fortesque
