Keep Left emerged from the Catherine Connolly presidential election campaign in 2025.

Similar to Marriage Equality (#MarRef) and Together for Yes (#RepealThe8th), it's non-party, and aims at uniting parties on the left around shared common goals. Dublin Central is something of a test bed.

Conor Burke and I tried to get down to Galway City Library as soon as we heard far-right agitators were there to spread their hate. But they only stopped in for a photo op and left before we could confront them. Far-right fascists are not welcome in Galway.
