I still hope we will see a new #PayDay done right.
Part of the success of the first game was simple: it was dirt cheap. It didn't try to milk your wallet. It tried to bring your friends along.
Until #Starbreeze doesn't understand that, it will stay as a niche game with <1K players average.

40gb sind in 20 Minuten fertig übertragen. Und dabei verwendet die #PS4 Wlan. Wie schnell das wohl ginge, wenn wir die auch über ein LAN Kabel angeschlossen hätten 🤩
Für alle die mehrere Konsolen / #Gaming PCs im selben Heimnetzwerk haben und die gleichen Spiele zusammen zocken wollen: Ein Lan-Cache Server ist sehr empfehlenswert :blobcatcool:

@Nicl , @Moon und ich wollen morgen #Payday2 spielen. Da habe ich auf meinem alten Laptop fix einen Lan-Cache Server zum laufen gebracht und nun muss das Spiel für alle drei Geräte insgesamt nur ein mal herunter geladen werden.
Ich liebe es 🤩
Hätte man mir vor 10 Jahren gesagt, dass ich jemals Server Zeug verstehe und betreibe, hätte ich diesen Spinner davon gejagt. Irgendwo darf ich ja dann doch stolz auf mich sein ☺️

I visually remembered the aftershock heist in pd2 from a couple years ago, but man I didn't remember how much of a spectacle it was with the heli extraction and all
many of vlad's heists kiiiinda feel more like a call of duty mission or something, with much of the focus on firefights instead of bagging as much as you can and delaying the arrival of police as much as possible (or avoiding it entirely) and obviously the whole spectacle element to everything
and tbh I'm not complaining at all, pd2's gunplay is MUCH better than I remember and having some more fun with it like this has great results, also breaks the monotony of "traditional" heists
also MAN I love the M308, gives me strong far cry 4/5 MS16 (for context my favorite rifles in those games) vibes with the semiauto firemode and very high damage

I love playing co-op #Payday2, but -- with full apologies to the voice actors -- they just won't SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Easily one of the most irritating parts of the game is when you hear the same dialogue over and over as you and your co-op partner try to noodle out a strategy for a new heist. There's no setting to disable non-essential game dialogue, which strikes me as odd after... a decade of dog-fooding this game?

I am really excited about this game. I played #Payday2 since day one and own all of the DLC content. I played hundreds of hours with my #Steam friends, and in the end, its downfall was the stupid stealth system with pagers, where only 3 could be disabled.
If the stealth system is redesigned and levels might become more flexible and dynamic, I think this will be another great success for the studio!
