Finally #Payday. So I could buy some more parts. Among them 1 1/2"/38 mm sanitary hose because rerouting the hose through the console made it 15 cm too short. So 120 € for 4 meters. Yuck. The Throne is now finally bolted in, and all the thick hoses are in place. Lights and water hoses still missing. And the shelf. And have to sand, chlorine and teak oil some more parts. And I won't tell you what was inside the old sanitary hose, even though I bought a drill pump to suck out the last stuff from the septic tank, through the log through hull. That pump sucked. The bilges washed a second time in a week. Remember, #sailing is fun!

На дворе 13 января 2006 года. Обычный солнечный день, который, казалось бы, не предвещал чего-то особенного. Работники местного банка рутинно занимались своей работой, обслуживая состоятельных и не очень клиентов, пока в 12:20 не зашли несколько мужчин в презентабельных костюмах и… масках. Точнее, один был в добротном пиджаке и брюках, другой – в розовой рубашке, а третий облачился в докторский халат… Всё бы ничего, мало ли кто заходит в банк по своим финансовым вопросикам, вот только эти ребята пришли не открывать депозиты, а вскрывать их. Потому мальчики-налетчики достали стволы и самый выделяющийся господин, которого позже все местные СМИ нарекут «Человеком в сером костюме», громко объявил: «Это ограбление!». И началось представление — скорее цирк, правда, для остальных участников не очень смешной…

#Starbreeze, the video game studio behind the #Payday franchise of games, announced that they were cancelling #ProjectBaxter, a planned #DnD video game that had co-op gameplay and was planned as a "Games as a service" product. 44 employees [..] were laid off as part of the cancellation. Starbreeze also announced that they were writing off SEK 255 million (or $27.2 million in US dollars) in development costs related to the game.

I had Monaco 2 on my watchlist. Now it’s on sale and it reminded me that I never really joined a multiplayer game in the first one. Because I’m afraid that being a noob I will ruin the game for everyone. Same with Due Process. Of course that is a vicious cycle where I keep being noob but don’t join a game out of fear of doing a noob thing. Not noticing something important, not timing something right, etc
Multiplayer in itself is not a problem, I have been playing other multiplayer titles. Both as a noob and a veteran. But the heist theme feels daunting
In a way I feel Payday was kind of easier in that regard because it was geared towards that “oops, I guess we are shooting now”
Has anyone had similar feeling? I probably should “just do it"
I feel like on the first game I should warn the lobby that I’m a noob, at which point I expect half of them to leave :D -
