  1. Kitty pacing. Let Fat Boy out the front and he came around back to be let in. Too much snow for his liking.

  2. I have this "special" colored version of the fox bags if you're looking for something for yourself or gift. Normally the straps are rainbow colored, this one has pink paw prints! And there is only one version of it. They are roughly 18x24 cm large and fit all of my stuff I take with me outside usually. They do a bit look like tiny bags of holding from the inside with the purple galaxy fabric. :neofoxpeekowo:

Otherwise identical to the normal foxy ones. If you want it, it's the Paw prints with pink paw strap variant… I wonder who thought of that name.

Anyway, if you want to have it, I'd be super happy to send it to you. :3

  3. It feels like there is constantly a new thing going wrong each day and it's exhausting. But... I've also added a new more rainbow-y shoulder bag to the list since I had the paw print fabric lying around. At least making these is relaxing. If you want this one, it's available from ko-fi.com/s/c177a8247d and can be shipped worldwide.

They are, well should, be waterproof. That's what the manufacturer of the fabric promised at least. :p Mine was dry inside during the rain so I guess it really is.

  4. There's a layer of snow on the backyard, and the local cats and squirrels have left some cool tracks across it.

  5. With only the pawprints, researchers study elusive bobcat phys.org/news/2024-01-pawprint

A novel eDNA approach for rare species monitoring: Application of long-read shotgun #sequencing to #Lynx rufus soil pawprints sciencedirect.com/science/arti by Samantha Koda et al.

"#DNA recovered from #bobcat #pawprints can be used to determine the #animals' ancestral background and even identify their unique #microbial community. All from the errant DNA left behind long after the #animal has left the area."

  6. More animal prints in the #snow. Foxes cross the backyard and gracefully leap the fence. I’m tempted to follow the tracks back to their den. Lots of foxes in the neighborhood. 🦊
The second picture is of paw prints across a flower bed.

  7. Wolves usually travel in a straight line. This is a perfect example of that behaviour. The path of that wolf followed the edge of the forest.

  8. This is a small trail made by wolves. There were other ''wolf trails'' in the area but this one was the most obvious.

  9. Went scouting for wolves in the past couple of days. Although I didn't see wolves, there were a lot of tracks on a beach, some scat and even a trail in the bush. More photos to come...

  10. CW: Snow, rabbits, being ungovernable

A green chain-link #fence, about three feet high, with a four-foot-high #snowdrift piled across it like a mountain. Four small upright juniper trees, wrapped in burlap, sag under the weight of the snow. Seven or eight sets of tiny rabbit #pawprints across the top of the snowdrift show where the fence no longer applies
