自インスタンスでは、 #pawoo.net を #ブロック しています。正直、 pawoo.net の今の状態は把握できていませんが、過去の情報で、#児童ポルノ禁止法 に抵触するような内容が投稿されていたと思います。
リレーサーバーを通じた #連合 では、多分今も pawoo.net の投稿は流れていると思います。とすれば、自分のインスタンスのリアルタイムフィードで「ほかのサーバー」を見れば、 pawoo.net の投稿が見れる状態だと思います。
法律には「児童ポルノを不特定若しくは多数の者に提供し、又は公然と陳列した者。。。」も処罰対象であり、サーバーのキャッシュも問題になるとの意見もあり、引いている次第です。

Good news, since account creation now requires moderator approval, that means contact-spam offenders will no longer be able to create bot accounts to spam-follow other instances’ users or flood the federated timelines. & pedophiles also will no longer be able to create bot accounts to spam their illegal content or get Pawoo defederated by other instances.
This is great news indeed! #Pawoo has always been some sort of "mastodon.social" in #Japan, and I follow plenty of SFW creators there like @[email protected] who is one of my favorite #PC98 #music arrangers on #YouTube. Hopefully after Pawoo gets rid of the pedo shit and other nasty stuff just like the big instances like mastodon.social and mstdn.social, the #fediverse reconsiders its defederation against it and finally let Japanese creators there connect with the rest of us!

Looks like #Pawoo got its #DNS back so this #HOSTS file workaround is no longer necessary.

#Pawoo's domain name has been removed by their domain registrar, making pawoo.net and img.pawoo.net unresolvable by your usual #DNS server that keeps the internet working for you.
Their servers are still alive, it's just that no DNS server now knows where the name "pawoo.net" points to, making it look like they've been disconnected from the internet.
If for whatever reason you still want to access Pawoo, you can add the following to your HOSTS file (usually located at/etc/hosts):203.137.162.95 pawoo.net 203.137.165.21 pawoo.net 203.137.165.217 pawoo.net 203.137.162.95 img.pawoo.net 203.137.165.21 img.pawoo.net 203.137.165.217 img.pawoo.net

#Transparenztröt: #Pawoo.net wurde auf Bonn.social als Domain gesperrt. Grund ist ein illegaler Inhalt (CSAM), der offensichtlich nicht von der Instanz moderiert wurde. Der Account, der dort gemeldet wurde, nutze den Mangel an Moderation aus, um eine Sperre aufgrund seines Inhalts herbeizuführen. Der Name des Accounts ist zugleich das Ergebnis der Meldung: „Block Pawoo… “. Das ändert erstmal nichts am Ergebnis, bis eine deutlich verbesserte Moderation auf der Instanz stattfindet.

Is this "The Social Coop Ltd" the same as the equally named bank in India?
The informations is not entirely clear from the many public relation texts indexed by search machines.

social.coop is very cool and had a very weird day today lol.
The company that bought #pawoo named its Cayman islands holding company "The Social Coop Ltd." so suddenly we were Involved for no reason
but @ntnsndr apparently just knows the owner, asked them to change the name and they were like "ok np, it was an accident."
and now the owner is going off on governance while several other ppl on here are talking about starting new coop instances...
it's just a weird but good vibe online today

Wo ich hier grade einen haufen Kram lese über den Kauf einer Mastodon Instanz, nämlich #Pawoo, sei vielleicht der Hinweis gestattet, das Pawoo nie eine „Privat“ von irgendjemandem angelegte Instanz war.
Pawoo wurde AFAIK von #Pixiv (einer Seite, auf der viele Künstler Manga, Anime und anderes) initiiert und hatte von Anfang an eine angepasste Mastodon Software am laufen, die auf deren Instanz auch Werbung zulässt.
Also man sollte jetzt wirklich nicht in das große „Mastodon wird verkauft“ Geschrei einstimmen 😏
Wer sich auf pawoo angemeldet hat, wusste von anfang an, der er nicht auf einer community- oder privat betriebenen Seite gelandet ist.
Im übrigen kann ja wirklich jede:r, ob Privatmensch, Community, Behörde oder Firma, eine eigene Instanz aufbauen.
Das ist halt das Großartige an diesem #Fediverse - rein Theoretisch ist ALLES möglich - und eben auch, das eine von einer Firma aufgebaute Instanz verkauft wird. -

Suji Yan has acquired #Pawoo, making him the largest owner of #Mastodon (and fediverse) instances. I suspect Pawoo changed hands for reasons similar to mstdn.jp and mastodon.cloud: to avoid #legal liabilities for not moderating enough (remember Pawoo's domain was briefly suspended in September? Also, the latter two were sold amid legislative efforts to combat #cyberbullying in #Japan ). This, be it recentralization or #moderation, should concern all #fediverse (especially #Japanese) users.

FYI, @[email protected], https://pawoo.net/public is visible to anyone, regardless of which #mastodon instance they use or what [de]#federation is going on. And you're welcome to use an instance that federates with #pawoo if you want to see them on your federated timeline or Explore.
