So, hubby wants to build a small outdoor patio for the grill/smoker. I managed to convince him NOT to use polymeric sand, but instead use good ol' paving sand with the pavers. And yeah, he did look into polymeric alternatives, but they weren't all they were cracked up to be. The alleged advantage of polymeric sand? A customer in Anderson recently had some plumbing repairs done to their house that required the old brick sidewalk to be taken apart. They called us to repair the sidewalk to working order: we reassembled the bricks, tuck pointed the joints and now nobody can tell the sidewalk was ever apart!
