"Johnny's Theme" is an #instrumental #jazz song played as the opening #theme of #TheTonightShowStarringJohnnyCarson from the show's inception in 1962 through its finale in 1992. The piece was composed by #PaulAnka and Johnny Carson, based on a previous composition by Anka. It was performed by #TheTonightShowBand, which released an arrangement by #TommyNewsom in 1986 as part of its #GrammyAward-winning debut album. The #single release also earned a Grammy nomination.

"Lonely Boy" is a song written and recorded by #PaulAnka. Recorded in August 1958 with Don Costa's orchestra in New York, "Lonely Boy" was not released until May 11, 1959. Anka also sang this song in the film #GirlsTown, which was released in October 1959. When released as a single, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, becoming Anka's first song to do so, although he had earlier topped Billboard's Best Sellers in Stores chart with "#Diana".
