“Graceland”, by Paul Simon
I read that this album was released 40 years ago. I’ve been listening to it all day. It was a brilliant piece of music then as it is today.
I first heard it some years later and couldn’t put it down. My wife and I drove from San Diego to Utah back then to meet some friends for a ski trip. We listened to it all the way to and from Utah.
Worth a listen if you don’t know this album.

TODAY I realised that, surely, Craig Finn's "I felt God in the buildings" is a reference to Paul Simon's "He sees angels in the architecture" (from "You Can Call Me Al")

I played that to death in the mid 80s, until I couldn't listen to it anymore. Returned to it about five years ago, found despite the long gap I still knew all the lyrics and that it was still an amazing album (still with its controversies, I know)
