"Crazy" is a song written by #WillieNelson and popularized by #PatsyCline in 1961. Nelson wrote the song while living in #Houston, working for #PappyDaily's label #DRecords. He was also a radio DJ and performed in clubs. Nelson then moved to #NashvilleTennessee, working as a writer for Pamper Music. Through #HankCochran, the song reached Patsy Cline. After her original recording and release, Cline's version reached number two on #Billboards #HotCountrySingles.

Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas, Randy Hughes and Hawkshaw Hawkins were killed in a plane crash near Camden, TN on this day in 1963.
They were traveling to Nashville after appearing at a benefit concert for the widow of Kansas City disc jockey 'Cactus' Jack Call, who had died in a car crash. On 7 March, country singer Jack Anglin was killed in a car crash on his way to Cline's funeral. Cline was the first country singer to cross over as a pop artist.

Re-doing a #MusicWomenWednesday from 2024, as the video I'd linked to disappeared and I had to grab a new one.
When I was a kid in the 90s, I had a Wax Trax video compilation on VHS that had this great cover of Patsy Cline's "Walking After Midnight" done by Los Angeles' BRAINDEAD SOUND MACHINE. This was the first way I ever heard this song, and I'm crazy about this version.
