I have the HD two-movie collection mentioned at the start of this post. Something neat, and the reason I got it: it includes both the original theatrical stereo audio as well as the re-recorded 5.1 audio. AFAIK the old stereo track hasn't been included in a US home video release since the 1990s Manga DVD, so I was happy to have it with an HD transfer of the film + English subs!

This "Starship Velociraptor" #metal music video is a masterpiece of indie #animation… countless visual references to #Gainax #anime titles (like #Evangelion, #Gunbuster & #Diebuster, #GurenLagann), #Akira, #GhostInTheShell, Vampire Hunter D, and I would guess #GUNDAM + #Macross + #Patlabor too. #Mecha has always been close to my heart. #Gundam #Gaogaigar #GetterRobo #PacificRim #Transformers #Patlabor and really if there are any big stompy #Robots involved, there's a pretty good chance I've seen it! And if I haven't, I'll need to add it to my watchlist 😁
I've watched a downright absurd amount #Anime at this point but a few of my all time non-mecha favorites would be #SamuraiChamploo #CowboyBebop #MobPsycho100 and in general I have a soft spot for #SliceOfLife .
