I love a lot of Pastry #stout so it’s a second shot at #PortageBrewing Into the Night.

Too medium-bodied to rate a “pastry” label in my book, it’s roasty chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and a slight bitter finish. Just doesn’t have the oomph I’m used to.

Day two of being Mad at Midnight, and I think I’m more mad at myself for not buying MORE of the marvelous molé #stout!

#portageBrewing did this barrel-aged pastry stout right. The overnight open bottle amped up the chili & cinnamon and rounded out the chocolate, really an awesome stout.

Luckily Dabbler Depot shows at least one more bottle in stock…gotta find a way to get back there!

Hoping for something rich, venture Into The Night with #portageBrewing chocolate pastry stout.

Roasty chocolate and hints of vanilla and a bitter finish. Really more of a basic stout, it’s medium bodied and not rich enough to qualify for pastry-status to me.

I’ll be in Walker, MN in July and the brewery is 1/2 mile from our hotel - visit planned!

Not finished with just dinner, it’s a dessert day. And #untitledArt pastry stouts are simply the best.

Wow! The seven layer bar literally flows from the glass, caramel nose with toasted coconut, chocolate, and butterscotch sweetness. Slice me another!
