Thick & tasty yet a sweeter taste (perception?) than preferred... Yet it's all happiness in a can. From 🇳🇱 to 🇳🇿 🍻

"CERBERUS is waiting for you at the gates of hell! This delicious Imperial Stout has an extract level of 30 Plato. With this, the beer is nice and thick and comes close to syrupy. To add even more depth to the beer, freshly roasted Vietnamese cocoa nibs and vanilla beans placed in salt have been added."

Too medium-bodied to rate a “pastry” label in my book, it’s roasty chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and a slight bitter finish. Just doesn’t have the oomph I’m used to.

#portageBrewing did this barrel-aged pastry stout right. The overnight open bottle amped up the chili & cinnamon and rounded out the chocolate, really an awesome stout.

Luckily Dabbler Depot shows at least one more bottle in stock…gotta find a way to get back there!
