What they're less keen to discuss is that the 2022 vaults they said were "fine" have been actively cracked for three years, with $150M in confirmed theft. At some point the pattern is the product.

I just checked the Privacy Guides page for password managers and it doesn't seem to reflect recent changes related to AI.
Okay, if KeePassXC is now allowing contributons from LLMs, where do I go to find a password manager that is NoAi? Are there any?

So I finally broke down and downloaded a password manager on my phone.
Spent over an hour loading it with all the accounts I've been keeping written down at my desk at home, so I'd have a digital version to take with me everywhere.
Then I went to work, and promptly forgot the master password.
But it's all good, because I had it written down ... at my desk ... at home.

What's a good #PasswordManager with cloud sync and #TOTP?
I'd happily pay for #Bitwarden Premium if it didn't require 2FA for new sign-ins, which I find completely unacceptable as it means you lose access to your whole online life if you lose your devices and your backup of the recovery code. That's catastrophic for a password manager, and could easily happen for example in a house fire or police raid.
#AliasVault does look very promising, but I'm a bit wary of it being a new and unproven solo-developer project. Their #privacy policy doesn't mention to which extent they keep logs.
Recommendations? -
Dashlane recently issued an advisory that encrypted user vaults were stolen, but they are refusing to share the scope or impact of the breach.
Relying on proprietary cloud password managers means you are kept in the dark when things go wrong. Open-source alternatives like Bitwarden give you full control over where your most sensitive data lives.
