  1. Preparing myself for teaching* today undergraduate students @KAEEGoetheUni in #Frankfurt a course, committed to #CriticalEthnography, on #ParticipantObservation. We* use #GoetheUniversity as our field site and explore coloniality, labour, energy&batteries, environmental, nutrition, cleaning, automobility, data, curricula, library... All at our classroom's doorstep & inside the room.

  2. 2/ But #DeadAndCo coming to campus, I spent the last few days volunteering for CU Guest Relations (I am a faculty member), wristbanding folks for floor access. I approached this in the spirit of #ParticipantObservation. So I am a verging-on-upper- middle class cis straight, kinda beefy (have kept that Covid weight on), in a too-small t-shirt like the one attached below. And I have vast, #neurodivergent powers over facts -- thei intersection date-place-band, and includes Jerry Garcia.

  3. I finally got #EthicsCommittee approval for my little #ethnographic #research study that I want to run alongside my main project. It’s some #ParticipantObservation of the charity environment I’m based in most days. I basically sit and chat with the clients most of the time, so I figured I might as well write the experience up as an actual study - I learn a lot from my conversations that’s worth recording #fieldwork #criminology
