  1. Getting Away With Murder probably isn’t the bizarre, sprawling Grand Guignol we played. But gather three utterly random players with little regard for boundaries, and it becomes hilarious, transgressive, and very likely a windfall for the poor GM’s therapist.

#Parsely—autocorrect keeps trying to fix my spelling—is a great a bit of nostalgia for the golden age of interactive fiction. Though I *think* it’s supposed to be 1-on-1, we had 5-6 players each making a command in turn. Good fun.

  2. 14, favorite con purchase?

    I first ran across #JaredSorensen's #Parsely games at #Gencon.

I bought all the laminated tri-fold take-out menu formatted games that were available at the time. At subsequent cons, I'd pick up any new adventures that were released that year. I eventually backed the Parsley book and my family and I have even have helped playtest some further adventures with Jared.

My family and I have run the game for many people over the years.

  7. Just finished my first #TTRPG session of the year: 2 hours playing the #Parsely scenario Action Castle. Imagine the old #Infocom text adventures, but with a GM parsing commands in place of a computer. Then add extra players (4 in my case) with limited table-talk, for a very #EveryoneIsJohn type experience. It was a heap of fun.

  8. Spring #herb #harvest today to encourage new growth before Summer arrives. About 3 litres each of #parsely, #winterSavory, #stJohnsWort, #marjoram, #oldManSaltbush, #thyme, #yarrow, and #sagebrush to restock the #spice cupboard.
