Your Daily BAWK™ 🐔
Ron Swanson would like you to know the government is best when it does less.
Some folks heard that and skipped straight to “nothing at all.”
Eat bacon. Question loudly. Carry on.

Episode 9.2 Solarpunk Presents: National Parks for All! is out now!
This week, we talk to Audrey Peterman, a Jamaican activist who played a key role in making a home for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) in the great outdoors in the United States. Historically, people of colour were not included in outdoors parks & wilderness spaces in America, and often outright excluded, especially urban people of colour. However, Audrey fought to combat this stereotype and has written extensively on the matter. We sit down and listen to the wonderful stories and great wisdom derived from years of activism. Listen now at:

I’m not saying Staten Island is exactly like Pawnee, but after installing a traffic circle to slow traffic a bit without increasing pollution from stop and go driving created by a stop sign, the city has now installed a stop sign AT the traffic circle. Bro…

the crib curse: can adding a baby ever actually save a tv show?
it is an ancient, undisputed law of television that the exact moment a long-running show introduces a positive pregnancy test, the writers have officially run out of ideas and the series is circling the drain. it usually signals the absolute death of casual hanging out, the sudden disappearance of main characters into background daycare voids, and an influx of incredibly grating, precocious child actors who look like they have never interacted with a real human being in their lives but does […]https://tacobout.online/2026/07/15/the-crib-curse-can-adding-a-baby-ever-actually-save-a-tv-show/

When we got these new laundry baskets, it was immediately obvious what I had to do…

I am learning so many fun facts about #ParksAndRec from this book:

For example, did you know they filmed a fake law show just for themselves? Luckily, the trailer is online:

🥲 It’s silly, but I always immediately tear up when the choir starts singing “All My Life” at Mayor Gergich’s impromptu inauguration. #ParksAndRec

I love that #ParksAndRec still stands up
The #GoodOmens trailer makes me so sad it’s movie-length & not a season. It looks so emotional 😭🐍🪽
#Rivals S2 looks like a show I’d honestly never watch but gonna watch for #DavidTennant brilliant villainy acting

Also I don't talk politics much, but this thing where the US' CEO is blockading Iran's blockade reminds me of Parks and Rec. "Why don't we build a fence around their fence?"
-
I wonder if the airport paged Duke Swanson to ask if he is a #ParksAndRec fan.

If you create a person with the political acumen of Leslie Knope and the energy of Bobby Newport, you'll get Harry Enten.

@loosy83 Oh, nice, noch ein #ParksAndRec Ultra 🤝 😁
Bei mir eskalierte das zu Zeiten schon mal, die Krankenkasse spielte aber mit.
-
Remember the episode of Parks and Rec where Leslie was on Joan Callamezzo's show and she got her for some fact about her Pawnee book. And then they sang a song "Joan Gotcha!" And they had the Gotcha Dancers pop on screen.
That's the song that popped into my head this morning.
So, that happened.

We need to update the mission statement of our tech/development department. My idea of saying "we build very good websites" and including a gif of Ron Swanson was not enthusiastically embraced by the team for some reason.

I can't believe that these YouTubers are living in the real life version of Pawnee, but I'm only hearing about it now!
