One of my favorite phrases from the #AA #BigBook is "what are we going to do about a thing like that?" (P. 81)
Today I realized my parents and brother have avoided adulting a lot & for years.
Followed by, I'm here trying to make up for it by doing industrial level #adulting for 2 weeks.
Followed by, I've been adulting for these folks since I was 11, that's what #parentification means.
But my dad's old & sweet & fragile & I love him. 🤷♀️ So what am I going to do about a thing like that?
