We bought an ebike for my youngest son today. Trying to get him to come for lunch, I jokingly told him that the shop wouldn't let him buy an ebike if he hadn't had lunch. "I'll be very surprised if they ask me about that," he said.
We got to the shop, looked at some bikes, and found one we liked the look of. They were locked up, so I went to find an assistant to unlock the one we wanted to try. I took the opportunity to have a quiet word.
Just as my son was about to get on the bike to try it, the assistant said, "Wait. Have you had a good meal? I can't let you try a bike unless you've had lunch."
The look on my son's face was priceless 😀
