Samuel Bankman-Fried was the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. After contributing money to Democrats he was convicted of seven counts of fraud while a Democrat was president. With Trump as president now, he loudly became a Republican, maybe in hopes of receiving a pardon.
