I miss 2016 when #europauniversalis was popular and there was always a multiplayer game being hosted. That was peak gaming. 20-30 history nerds playing on a grand strategy map with pacts and betrayal happening in and out of the game. Secret messages planning attacks.
Obviously as with any online game there was occasional toxic behaviour but once you had a good group you could get so much fun and some great stories.
I'd love to play again if anyone would like to set something up
