  1. Has anyone tried making a PAPR or HEPA stroller? A few people have mentioned the concept but the only source I've found is this one paper: researchsquare.com/article/rs-

I'd love practical tips. Right now I can't go into stores with my baby because she can't mask, having the ability to wheel her inside would greatly expand what I can do while caring for my child. Also useful during wildfire smoke.

  6. What's that, #Welding fume is being classified as a higher level carcinogen, and so I not only need a #PAPR respirator welding helmet, I need Local Exhaust Ventilation to suck up and filter the welding fume in the atmosphere?

OK, and how much is that machine.

~$7500 for one that doesn't use ($500+) consumable filters. *sigh* so that's THIS years's tax item.

  7. @Lurkle @shansterable

Since I want d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HoH) people to be able to lip-read, I'm awaiting my OmniMask from omnimask.com

SeeUs95 is another option, or CleanSpace (HALO and other models) is expensive even for used headsets.

Otherwise Flow Mask or similar reusables are definitely the way to go.
Might even be able to 3D print parts of it, if you have willing friends to 3D model / sculpt / produce them.

  8. I've been meaning to make my own version of @edsuom's dental PAPR ever since he first posted it. Now, thanks to @Nerobro's machining work in black delrin, I have all the parts I should need to do the build, which will be based on the Optrel e3000x. First step this weekend was organizing my workbench so I have somewhere to do the work! #Knolling #Bins #PAPR #COVIDisAirborne
