Oh wait, I need to list probably #Papergirls roles in the longed for crossover with #TheMonolithMonsters

Tiff - does science and determines that salt will kill the evil rocks
KJ and Mac - start by hitting cops with sticks, then end up hitting the rocks with sticks
Erin - actually delivers papers out of an ingrained sense of moral duty.

#PaperGirls wurde nach der ersten Staffel eingestellt, noch bevor die erste Folge lief. Zudem soll die Staffel mit einem großen Cliffhanger enden. Aber jetzt habe ich schon 2 Folgen angesehen.
🗞️🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think any individual part of #PaperGirls is terribly original for a #TimeTravel story, but all the pieces are put together in a completely unique way that is so very refreshing. And the characters are so well written and acted in the show that it should be compelling even if you aren't a fan of #SciFi. Such a shame there is only one season.

Just finished reading the last two TPBs of the Paper Girls comic. Excellent arc. Finishing up the book series made me so unhappy that the TV series didn't make it. Netflix? No, Amazon. It wasn't a great show, but there's enough story that it could've grown into a good show. Re-reading the first four in the set and I'm catching a lot of what I didn't the first time through.

#PaperGirls vol. 3: Continuing to be a wild adventure through time filled with confusion and excitement, Paper Girls is absolutely excellent. I cannot say how relatable the general mundane experiences really are for young girls (not having that life experience) but it feels natural and genuine.

Mac and KJ have the best conflicts so far and I am on the edge of my seat for every development. Erin and Tiff are also great and I look forward to their sections as well.

I realised I never shared my Christmas book haul.
#TheSandman vol 5, #PaperGirls vols 5 and 6, #CalvinAndHobbes the first two years and #LegendsAndLattes.

Very happy with them. Always love getting reading material as gifts.

#BookHaul

Read the full run of _Paper Girls_, the graphic novel which inspired the short-lived Prime series.

I’ve been trying to articulate something like a review for this and I think the most succinct description I can come up with “imagine four men decided it was important that they create a comic book about four girls.” Like. Yeah.

There are a whole bunch of really cool panels. In fact most of this book seems to be stitching together a bunch of cool panels and little else.

#PaperGirls

Hey @tillybridges, just me or does comic version of Mac kinda look like @susanlbridges as a redhead?
#PaperGirls

#PaperGirls vol 3: Continues to build a mystifying story, adding tension and intrigue, leaving you never sure who to trust outside of the core cast. The art is excellent at conveying the story and bringing the characters to life.

I’m starting to see some of the core themes come to the forefront, mainly around generational divides and maintenance of the statue quo. I am looking forward to continuing the story and seeing where it goes with these themes.

In lieu of anything useful, I started playing #SpaceHaven, a spaceship building colony simulator where you fly around, mine asteroids, salvage wrecked ships and make your own ship better while trying not to starve to death, be killed by robots or eaten by space cannibals.

I named my starting crew after the #Papergirls characters to make them more recognizable, and thus had to extrapolate what skills each of them would have as post-apocalyptic adult astronauts.

#Monsterdon at this point I am hoping for a #Papergirls crossover where the Old Watch appears on its flying cathedral timeship, attacks the time travelers and King Ghidorah with pterodactyl knights and/or giant robots and then tries to round up all the citizens fleeing the devastation for a memory wipe.

Humble Bundle offered a bundle of graphic novels with female protagonists last week, and figuring I was going to be in bed for a few days, I bought the bundle. Turns out most of them are women written by men, which was a little disappointing, but anyway. It is what it is.

First series I finished was #PaperGirls, which was brilliant.

Then I started #Saga.

Finished Volume 8 last night. Woke up in a fit of coughing at 5am, couldn't get back to sleep from all the coughing, started on, then finished Volume 9.

😮

Welp, with #campnanowrimo ending, begins the 2023 Asian Readathon Challenge.

Already read 49 pages of Paper Girls, trying to get the manga/comics out of the way so I can get to the fiction books.

Acabo de terminar #PaperGirls y me parece fatal que no hicieran al menos una segunda temporada para ver si llegaban a su tiempo o no. 🤬

So, fertig mit #PaperGirls. #AFStunde, anyone?

@afstunde

Will watch a bit of #PaperGirls while snacking, but then I really want to do a bit of #genealogy - even if it's just processing emails mostly written by myself from #WikiTree

The first show I've liked on #prime in a long time, since #theexpanse is #PaperGirls and now I find out it was cancelled?!? #fuckyouamazon

The cancellation of 1899 #tvshow now leaves absolutely no reason to watch #Netflix ever again. #StrangerThings has been nothing but horrible propaganda for a while now, #PaperGirls was actually better.

#PaperGirls (on Amazon) is pretty fun!

@rozeboosje

That would be great, of course. I secretly hope & wish the same for #PaperGirls, which was cancelled at Prime. 🥲

Just learned that Paper Girls was cancelled and it won’t be receiving a second season. Sad news, and it just adds another reason as to why I hate starting new shows
#PaperGirls #PrimeVideo

#PaperGirls 28 is a bravura single issue of a comic book using the panel format to show what is happening to the 4 heroines in 4 separate time zones; musing on existential questions about fate, meaning, and responsibility; and fighting bullies and giant bugs from the end of the world

Sadly the Amazon series #Papergirls got canceled, but I had a lot of fun working on it, here's a robot bug I helped design. The first season is still available to watch #scifi #robot #mech #mecha

Sigh. Why do I always get invested in series that get cancelled? #PaperGirls, #Archive81…

(Yes, I’ve already read it. Yes, I’ve found the podcast. Still wish the shows hadn’t been cancelled though!)

Dammit - that's two great shows now that #AmazonPrime has dropped after only one season.

#NightSky and #PaperGirls

I just finished #PaperGirls and I’m sad it wasn’t renewed. #TiffIsAwesome

As part of the compulsion to reintroduce I’ve noticed on Mastodon, here are some of my extracurricular interests:

I love #ComicBooks and am currently reading #PaperGirls - a beautifully neon time travelling adventure with pterodactyls AND two-way horror story of meeting your younger / older self

I’m currently watching #ThePeripheral slowly on Amazon - its own horror story of multiple apocalypses - and possibly a ghost story in which we sympathise with the ghosts?
