Himmel, ein Hummel in 1:35!
I started building the Tamiya Hummel a couple of weeks ago, instead of taking dslr photos of already completed projects. At least I remembered uncle NightShift's armour texture trick this time 😄 Now all I have left are are the 3d printed tracks and the crew with accessories. Then I can start painting, yay!
This'll be slow as time's limited during this season. Priming's a January thing earliest, I think. That'll be fun 🤘🏻

I fixed the polygons somewhat by repainting a few in sandy yellow, and the red browns by painting over with a medium camo brown. Much calmer.
The overall look got better with the bare metal tools and the periscopes getting a dark grey coating. Yet again I attempt to paint the woodstuff (handles and the jack block) with a medium-light brown, and doing some lighter brown stripes along the.. eh.. woodlines.
Alsø: got the #PanzerwerkDesign tracks for this and the Hummel today!

Now that I'm on a roll I ordered two sets of 3d printed Pz III/IV tracks from #PanzerwerkDesign. I truly enjoyed the set I got for my PzKfw IV last year (or was it two years ago already?) and definitely wanted to get them for both the StuG III and Hummel 😄
Good thing I'm not into any other #aftermarket stuff like photoetch sets, decals, ultrafancy figures, workable tool clanos, or other extra details. But the tracks, they are glorious, and so much nicer than kit ones.
