The number of times I've said "Get up, you big girl's blouse!" has remained pretty constant through many years of watching England play football.

Not a great game, but after three quarters in the US Super Football World Cup match between England Lions and Panama Canal Boats, the big cats have a two to nothing lead.

The officials have clearly been given a "go soft on England" instruction sheet - they let every England foul go in the first half and Quansah should have be off for two yellows (inexplicable how his waist-high roundhouse "tackle" wasn't carded and it looks like England just got away with a clear handball in the penalty area.)
Doubt it would have changed Bellingham's goal but England should be playing the last 30 minutes with 10 men and possibly a penalty down too.
Still at least next season PGMOL can point to the absolute atrocity of officiating in this tournament and go "see? at least we're not -that- bad/corrupt!"

According to ITV's commentator, one of the new interpretations of the laws in this WC is that if you take more than five seconds over a throw-in, it can be overturned. That "can be" is doing a lot of work, but I wonder what this will do to the EPL's long-throw addiction?

My brain refuses to accept that that's England in the red. It's partly because, as well as the red shirts, which at least have some history, they're wearing black shorts. England NEVER wear black shorts. If they wear red shirts, it's with white shorts. This isn't complicated or controversial.

Jarell Quansah right-back. Played briefly there for Liverpool, drifts right as right-sided of the three centre-backs for Bayer Leverkusen. Quansah’s strength is at centre-back, full-back is a specialist position. Thomas Tuchel not juggled right-back resources well. But needs must, Quansah will certainly lack for nothing in effort.
