"Using an in-home HEPA purifier for one month spurs a small but significant improvement in brain function in adults age 40 and older."
Gosh, that sounds like the sort of thing it would be good to install in indoor workplaces.

Had to go see a doctor and as usual, nowadays, it fills me with despair. My GP was so kind to wear a "mask", if a baggy blue even qualifies as one. She is a tiny person, so the "mask" looked huge on her face, left huge gaps as well. After i left her office i could hear her cough. Then an assistant "needed" to explain a home test to me, even though it comes with clear instructions. She forgot to put on a "mask", oops, which probably contaminated the test.
Humanity is doomed.

It's amazing how terms like "recluse" have had connotations of disapproval, criticism or condemnation in common usage in the past, and now thanks to the pandemic, when I see them in someone's bio my heart skips, I am impressed, and I think, "My people!"

Today marks six years for me of living in isolation without human touch.
I am feeling both the milestone and the accumulation.
My full heart goes out to everyone else hitting their own anniversaries around this time of year.
It is brutal. And it is still better than COVID.

We're rapidly closing in on my 6 year isolation anniversary.
Thinking of changing my legal name to Elizabeth Báthory in observance...
...except I've outlasted her by two years and counting.
*lolsobbing all the lolsobs*

Boing Boing pointing out the truth: Covid is not over. The pandemic didn't "end", we all just stopped talking about it. It's still here, still killing us. And pretending it isn't won't make it go away.

RE: https://zirk.us/@ShaulaEvans/115880712368394760
I emailed St. Margaret's, the church that issued this covid policy, to thank them for sharing it and to let them know how much it moved me.
The pastor emailed me back personally today -- and now I'm in tears all over again.

Words cannot express my delight that folks agreed to a mask requirement for the #CoopCloud workshop this weekend 🤩
"Co-op not CO-VID" or something I guess 🙃
