    @ralph @jimmac @cwebber Palm Inc. spun off #PalmOS into its own company, #PalmSource, which was sold to ACCESS. PalmSource introduced a new PalmOS version, Cobalt, which was great (it was based on #BeOS), but Palm Inc. didn't ship it with their devices, instead they developed #WebOS. Then, they were bought by HP, who unsuccessfully tried to build WebOS into their printers, and then sold it off to LG, where it now resides in some Smart TVs. Cobalt could have been so great if it ever had a chance.
