Whatever happens next with the campaign for the legalisation of assisted dying, perhaps the most positive thing to come out of the recent debates & legislative deliberations, is a wider recognition of the vital & positive role of palliative care.
For both sides, I hope that while they may disagree on the legislative aspect(s), a renewed emphasis on palliative care & its expended funding (if it appears) will be seen as a good result....
