    Dear comrades,

Our next Palestine Solidarity Café is taking place this Sunday, and we’d like to warmly invite you all!

Whilst our attention is being stretched thin by an ever-increasing number of conflicts, the genocide in Palestine continues.

Last week, a law was passed in Israel that imposes the death penalty exclusively on Palestinians; settlement construction is expanding rapidly, as is the violence against Palestinians in the West Bank and the population of Lebanon.

These developments are not separate from the rapid militarisation and general deterioration of living conditions here in Germany.

Palestine Solidarity Café this Sunday! 🍰🍉

Saturday at the demonstration against all genocide and Sunday spending a cosy afternoon with like-minded people, because:

The genocide in Gaza has brought the situation of the Palestinians back into the public consciousness: 75 years of expulsion, oppression and even extermination.

This situation is the result of colonialism and imperialism – to this day. Resistance and protest against it are criminalised and suppressed with police violence, especially in Germany.

As the networking group ‘Potsdam for Palestine’, we regularly invite people to open meetings to discuss these issues.

We would like to get to know each other over coffee and cake and talk about current events.

    ♿️ Accessibility information:
Madia has limited accessibility. There is a step at the entrance, and the interior and access to the toilet are very narrow.

Invitation to the Palestine Café against war & armament:

The war starts in our neighbourhood
The Bundeswehr is to be made operational. To this end, billions are being borrowed for armaments production. The government's policy is becoming ever more clearly orientated towards war.

Now the armament is starting in our neighbourhood. The Pierburg company (in Gesundbrunnen) belongs to the Rheimetall group and is now to switch its production to ammunition and weapon parts. These weapons are then to be sold abroad and used in wars. Rheinmetall supplies countries such as Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Turkey and Israel. War and murder are about to begin on our doorstep.

We are paying for the armament
The fact that Pierburg is bringing arms production to Wedding is due to the government's warmongering. Special funds, an increase in the defence budget and the suspension of the debt brake for armaments are boosting arms production.
