Today, I traveled from Deir al-Balah to Khan Younis to congratulate my niece on passing her high school exams.
The journey took six hours on a donkey cart pulled by an old car, followed by two hours of walking. In Gaza, even the happiest family moments require an exhausting journey.

Who will help the children of Gaza? Sami Abu Qassem, the sole survivor of a missile attack that killed his parents and sister in Deir al-Balah, escaped by the grace of God.
