Spathagnathus roeperi is a new ctenochasmatid #pterosaur from Germany! The holotype is the front part of the snout, with some teeth!

Pangupterus liui was a mysterious #pterosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous of China!
The holotype #fossil only has the long and thin bottom jaw along with most of the teeth!I’ve reconstructed it here as a gallodactylid pterosaur because from what I can tell, the jaw and teeth look most similar to #pterosaurs like these! 🪮

Cycnorhamphus suevicus easily owned one of the weirdest sets of #pterosaur jaws!
It’s been interpreted to be durophagous, or specialized to eat hard stuff, but it’s also been suggested to be a filter feeder, a parasite cleaning specialist, and, most interestingly in my opinion, a #jellyfish specialist! 🪼🦐

Sinomacrops bondei was an #anurognathid #pterosaur from China! 🐸
The only described specimen is crushed, but the head is preserved mostly on its side, which is normal for most #pterosaurs, but very rare in anurognathids! 👀
You might have also noticed the long tail!
#Anurognathids usually had short, nubby tails, but #Sinomacrops is special for being one of the few that has a much longer tail! -
🚨 NEW PTEROSAUR! 🚨
Melkamter pateko was an early #monofenestratan pterosaur from the Chubut Province of Argentina! The holotype includes part of the #skull, a couple teeth, a few vertebrae, a metacarpal from one of the free fingers, and “other bone fragments”.

#Nipponopterus mifunensis is the first ever #pterosaur named from Japan! It’s based on a single, partial neck vertebra that was found to be distinct enough to name a new genus and species!!
