Pangupterus liui was a mysterious #pterosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous of China!
The holotype #fossil only has the long and thin bottom jaw along with most of the teeth!

I’ve reconstructed it here as a gallodactylid pterosaur because from what I can tell, the jaw and teeth look most similar to #pterosaurs like these! 🪮

Melkamter pateko was an early #monofenestratan pterosaur from the Chubut Province of Argentina! The holotype includes part of the #skull, a couple teeth, a few vertebrae, a metacarpal from one of the free fingers, and “other bone fragments”.

Skiphosoura bavarica was a monofenestratan #pterosaur from the #Solnhofen limestone of Germany!
This species helps us understand how #pterosaurs transitioned from the “rhamphorhynchoid” body plan (regular sized head/neck, long tail), to the pterodactyloid body plan (big head, long neck, stumpy tail)!

Speaking of time, there sure has been a lot of it! How best to convey the idea of #DeepTime? I'm a fan of a good foldout #timeline, myself, and as far as I'm concerned, #paleoartist Clémence Dupont currently reigns queen over all others with her #ABriefHistoryOfLifeOnEarth. It's the largest single time chart I've ever seen, & it's double-sided, too! One side depicts the evolving earth and biosphere, while the other side has a proportional depiction of the various #eons!
