Currently, #chatGPT can remember 8 total interactions. Four from you, four from itself. Whatever the last four things you asked it were, plus its responses, that's how long its #context lasts. If you sent the image of a #painting, and were talking to it about the painting, and you get to the 9th overall interaction, it wouldn't remember the painting, at all. So I need to think about my strategy for getting a comprehensive ai opinion about the set of images in my #pajaroiterations project.

I just noticed you can send ChatGPT images. Stand by... I'm gonna go get some weird feedback from an AI about my #pajaroiterations project. It's already a weird project, why stop now?

I did 56 high res scans yesterday and got the entire #pajaroiterations series of 14 larger paintings done, and wow that took all day and night. But! I saved myself $1400-$6000, if I’d used the alternatives. One alternative would be to take my art somewhere to shoot or scan it, and the other was to acquire an oversized A2 sized scanner. I’m pretty happy with the scrappy #diy results! I’ll write up a blog post with details.

I've been trying to solve the problem of obtaining high res imagery of my #pajaroiterations paintings. Many possibilities were examined, and I weighed laying out probably far more money than would have been responsible to get a good solution. In the end, I was able to easily #modify a cheap and reliable USB #scanner, for free, and use a relatively low cost desktop app to automagically take high res tiled scans and generate a mega-high res file of the whole painting. ~16"x~20" @ 1200DPI #diy

Regarding #pajaroiterations sequence 25, here's the #timelapse. The music is me performing on assorted #hardware and #eurorack synths, and the audio sample at the top of the video is from a local PBS radio station, where the host (Michael Krasny) asked rock historian Rich Cohen to explain why rock is "over". some paint reinforcements arrived for my #pajaroiterations project, so I wanted to test drive them a bit. #watercolor #watercolour on Canson Fluid Mixed Media paper, which is 154 lb, fairly smooth surface. Stays pretty flat, even when saturating with pigment. It's a nice spiral bound pad of paper, I found it at my local crafts and art supply store. #abstract #painting #mixedmedia #mastoart #fediart #traditionalart #art

Muahaha, do you enjoy a challenging #jigsawpuzzle? While I’ve been producing my #abstract #watercolor #project - #pajaroiterations, I’ve been using a #waterbrush and cleaning it with paper towels. In that process, I’ve ended up with dozens of #metapaintings of #cats cats cats. Once I had enough scanned in I assembled them into one image and sent it off to have a puzzle made. It’s 520 pieces, 16x20”… I’ll have this available to purchase in October 2023.

This is my 5th painting in the 16”x20” size and I have to admit this feels like the right size, versus the smaller sized first 10.
