✍️📰 Aldus PageMaker (1985) marked the beginning of desktop publishing, and in conjunction with it, Apple's Macintosh computers were the standard for many years. In 1994, Adobe acquired Aldus and now offers InDesign for desktop publishing purposes.

“It’s always flow control.” I printed again but instead of the ImageWriter II, I sent it over RS-232 and captured it with CoolTerm. I then sent that file (400K) to the ImageWriter II over serial. The flow control gods were smiling because it worked that time! So, I just need an external print buffer/spooler for CDTV and A-Max 😅

Printing from PageMaker starts off fine but quickly turns into garbage and starts ejecting pages from the ImageWriter II. I suspect there’s some hardware flow control problems with longer prints.
