Today's divination pull:

The Chariot from the Thoth Deck, signifying victory and overcoming obstacles
Logr of the Younger Futhark, the rune of water
Mann of the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, the rune of humanity
Iss of the Younger Futhark, the rune of ice as a bridge or new road

This pull seems to echo what has been surfacing this week so far. The Chariot reinforces a pervading sense of possibility, forward momentum, and triumph over obstacles that is further underscored by Logr, representing the inevitable, almost irresistible flow of water in pursuing its course. Mann further anchors where these patterns are unfolding in the social and political, the things that in Nordic myth are a key part of what make us most human. Iss completes the reading by, again, reminding us how seemingly impassable rivers can, when frozen, become a "broad bridge".

Today's divination pull:

Three of Disks from the Thoth Deck, signifying work
Wynn of the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, the rune of joy and bliss
Ehwaz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of partnership and cooperation
Mannaz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of humanity and community

In some ways, this pull has a feeling of getting back down to earth after the last two days of wandering in loftier places. The Three of Disks reminds us of what is necessary to build anything that lasts or is sustaining while the runes give us a sense of what is worth building in the first place. Wynn reminds us to always be mindful that any work of community and society must be made to sustain joy while Ehwaz and Mannaz reinforce the importance of mutual cooperation and benefit for making such projects endure.

Today's divination pull:

Ace of Cups from the Thoth Deck, signifying water in its purest form
Iss from the Younger Futhark, the rune of ice as a maker of new pathways
Raidho of the Elder Futhark, the rune of travel
Hægl of the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, the rune of the hailstone that lays waste and sews new potential

This pull suggests to me that great potential for change and transformation is developing in the world. The Ace of Cups, as the epitome of water, reminds us how the steady pulse of tide and current can wear down great mountains with sustained pressure. This is reinforced by Iss, which in the rune poems explicitly references ice transforming rivers into roads, and Raidho as a symbol of travel and movement through time & space. Hægl's presence reinforces this sense of great change & upheaval where old systems are laid low and the "cold grain" sews the soil with new potential.

Nine of Disks from the Thoth Deck, signifying gain and good fortune in ongoing work
Reið of the Younger Futhark, rune of riding and travel
Bjarkan of the Younger Futhark, rune of the birch tree
Ar of the Younger Futhark, rune of plenty and abundance

Overall, this suggests the potential for good fortune is considerable in the moment though it may not be clear or obvious how that is the case. The Younger Futhark generally tends towards a more grim and wary outlook with the notable exception of Ar, which is the rune of the greater conditions that make abundance for all. This reinforces the Nine of Disks as a reading suggesting good fortune for those who, like the birch represented by Bjarkan, persevere through the bitter winter facing you and arrive at the warmth and potential of a new spring.
