Elements of Magic

Today I start the first of the Core Classes with The World Tree Lyceum, Elements of Magic. Hopefully all will go well, and that this will be a glimmer of light in a dark world.

Today's divination pull:

The Fool from the Thoth Deck, signifying the leap into the unknown
Dagaz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of dawn
Hagalaz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of the hailstone
Hagall of the Younger Futhark, the rune of the hailstone

There are two words that sum up this divination reading: buckle up. It begins with the Fool, a card that represents the beginning of a great journey which is initiated by a leap into the unknown. The Fool begins this process with limited knowledge of what lies ahead, meaning they must act on the faith that a good outcome is possible.

Today's divination pull:

The Sun from the Thoth Deck, signifying light
Ing of the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, the rune of the hero
Mannaz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of humanity
Ansuz of the Elder Futhark, the rune of speech

For everyone who is interested in attending the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury this year, there is some tentatively good news.

In light of the recent UK Supreme Court Ruling regarding the legal status of trans women, the Conference have confirmed that their DEI Policies has no need to change, and that therefore anyone who lives as a woman is welcome into women's spaces, anyone who lives as a man is welcome into men's spaces and that any form of harassment, including with respect to gender identity and sexuality, is not tolerated.

This is heartening to hear, especially given my own problematic treatment at Conference in the past and my subsequent disagreements with them.

I have this from the Conference themselves, from more than one person and it confirms their written Policy. Hopefully this will remain the case and they will continue to evolve, including finding a way to be more inclusive of enbies than they currently are.
