¿Sabían que existe el Día mundial del paganismo o Día del Orgullo Pagano (Pagan Pride Day) y no es una celebración aislada, sino un movimiento global que busca la educación pública y la eliminación de prejuicios sobre las tradiciones paganas?
El origen de este evento se remonta a 1997, cuando se fundó el Pagan Pride Project en Estados Unidos. La fecha central de las celebraciones suele coincidir con el equinoccio de otoño (Mabon en el hemisferio norte), debido a la carga simbólica de la cosecha y el equilibrio.
Lo que distingue a este día es su estructura basada en tres pilares fundamentales: la visibilización (salir de "el armario de las escobas"), la caridad (normalmente se solicita la donación de alimentos no perecederos para bancos de comida locales o se hace colectas para ayudar alguna causa) y la educación (talleres y rituales públicos para desmitificar prácticas como la Wicca, el Druidismo, helenistas o Asatrú, entre otras tradiciones).
Hoy en día, este evento se realiza en cientos de ciudades alrededor del mundo, estableciendo un puente de comunicación entre las comunidades paganas y la sociedad civil, demostrando que las diferentes tradiciones y prácticas espirituales pueden convivir en armonía con la diversidad y el servicio comunitario.

#Pagan Pride Day has served to #connect and #educate people since the first event was held in 2005. This has facilitated the tremendous growth of our #community. What was once a small gathering of like-minded people has blossomed into an annual #festival offering a variety of entertainment, education, demonstrations, and vendors.
It has become a place to gather as a community and celebrate, and also to give back, through donations and support of the local food banks and other organizations.
