Ok, it wasn’t horrible. It turned out pretty good but not as tasty as a restaurant. I think/hope I just need to tweak the sauce ingredient ratio. I’m going to do additional human testing at a local establishment FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES and try again.

I’m attempting to cook pad thai for the first time tomorrow. I was going to do it tonight but we have tickets for Superman and I did not want to cramp my cook. I did prepare the tamarind paste though. That was interesting.

The "hot sauce" my local #ChineseFood place gives out turns out to be "Chinese mustard" (I was failing to find variations on "wasabi" [which I do realize is a mainly Japanese #food thing, but this place also serves #PadThai, so...](
Chinese mustard turns out to literally just be ground mustard powder, available in any local supermarket, and water, available in most of the USA
That's it. That's the #recipe
I am now an unstoppable spicy saucening machine.
