Today's post was inspired by my daughter and I taking the new kayaks out on #LakeSimcoe yesterday. She was visiting to play golf but my wonky back wasn't ready for that. After some stretching and Tylenol I decided to get out on the lake for about 90 minutes. We bought 2 kayaks this past month - the daughters and son-in-law paid for one - and they can take them out when visiting. I hope to get out once a week over the summer.

I had a great time, #kayaking around #Sooke today. Took 5 newbies out, including Mom for safe #paddling adventure in the basin. We enjoyed a nice burgers lunch at picnic tables after our paddle.
I've been out & about, on beaches, waters & trails, the past couple of days. Tomorrow is a low physical activities day to allow my body to recover from 2 full days of physically active recreational fun times ☺️

Great fun, #paddling & drumming in our first races! We did pretty good, considering we've had only 7 practices. We beat a more experienced team that has trained twice/week for a few years in our last race with time of 1:08 minutes!
