Surprisingly, for a lab mix, Mille is not interested in water, which is a bit of a bummer as I wanted her to be my #paddleboard buddy. We're going camping soon with her for the first time at a reservoir out in the desert so I can see the stars again. I have a few ideas about introducing the idea of swimming to her but wondered if anyone had experience with this. #DogsOfMastodon #Doggo #DogTraining

Today I went rowing for the first time in several months. It was pouring rain, I got pretty soaked despite my waterproof gear, and there was some wind, too.

Lovely afternoon for paddleboarding along the North Tyne; calm and sunny. You can paddle 1.25km upstream from Chollerford before the current deflects you. Then I had a quick swim... it's definitely getting colder! 🥶😂 Only 6 minutes according to my Garmin, and it was beginning to feel chilly!

Took the plunge (but not literally!) and bought myself a paddleboard. 😎 The Bluefin sale said "end-of-season", but I'm presuming it's only end of season for southerners!! 🤣 A 4km excursion on the North Tyne, and I've pretty much got my balance back... it's been a couple of years.

Got out on the paddleboard yesterday evening, despite it being a bit too windy really. As I was heading into the wind and upstream, I knew I could just turn round at any point to get back. Had to stay on my knees for stability and paddle like a demon to get anywhere, but worth the effort.
Rewarded with a nice gentle float back downstream, until the busy bit with all the rowists, swimmists, kids on paddleboards, dogs, kids off paddleboards…

After the storm passed #Dundee yesterday, we were out on the #paddleboard. We set out from Wormit and went along the coast a short bit, before heading back to touch one of the remaining stubs from they first rail bridge.
