Back to playing Persona 5 Royal after an (understandable) break. I do wish they’d coordinated the main plot with all the confident side quests slightly better:

CW: Persona 5 Royal spoilers

Had some time last night to get back to P5R for a bit after trying out the Metaphor demo.

Sitting around the 10 hour mark. Finally got thru the first palace and took down Kamoshida. Currently waiting in the real world to see what comes of it.

The pacing seems to be getting better with fewer interruptions for tutorials. Curious if all of the palaces and boss battles are this long, or was it just due to being the starter dungeon?

So I’m about 6 hours into P5R, and a whole lot is going on while not very much is happening. Lots of pauses in the action to explain things which makes the pacing feel off. I’m sure that’ll clear up in time, tho.

The story also seems darker than P4G? And not just the story, but graphically as well. Not necessarily a bad thing, just surprising.

I really like how stylized everything is, tho it does get squinty at times.

Morgana is way better than Teddie.

Managed to snag the SDCC convention exclusive Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden foil cover variants from LRG when they put the extras up online!

I’m honestly not even that much of a Persona guy, but one of my best friends loves the games so I got them mostly to honor him.

Hmm…. I think a game in which a boss is made easier by you increasing the game’s difficulty setting to max is probably a game with some problems with its fighting mechanics.
