I have a proposed idea for starting a #VK wide #DV net on the VK Nets Hub (50500) that I run, wondering if anyone be interested in a DV net on Sunday evening around 19:30ACST (10:00UTC), it be a mixed chat & technical net.

International station will also be more than welcome too

I think I'll stick with #OP25 which works well on a really old netbook - and works with only one #SDR - Granted, I can only listen to one stream at a time, but really, it's kind of hard to listen to two conversations at the same time anyway.

Saw this video posted by Stan @k9swx - very good info about a app I wasn't aware of SDR-Trunk
Which can decode P25 and Some other digital modes (Thou I couldn't figure out if it will do P25 conventional or not, I think not).
I set it up without using radio reference, I didn't use any IDs so I just get Talkgroup numbers, not the best way, but it worked.

The cables should be plenty available on ebay and aliexpress.
Digital modes like DMR sound like a perfect fit for 900MHz, tons of spectrum, resistant to interference and decently wide split for making repeaters.
For some reason I want a 70cm (the 433MHz govt split) #P25 Astro Saber.
I already have MD380 and Anytone 878 plus for DMR. Might as well get something neat and even more useless than my #TETRA radios.

I'm going to need to get another Raspberry PI 4 soon, I am not sure I want to dedicate the PI 400 exclusively for the task of running OP25. But for now, it is working, and I am learning more about how OP25 works. And the control channel - Which is listed as being for my county, but seems to include some surrounding counties as well.
