Sadly noone made something similar that comes in the form factor of my #X230Tablet or smaller with like fully upgradeable RAM & SSD as well as toolfree swappable batteries.
Even the #Framework seems to be a regression in that part...

But yeah, I could just put #OS1337 on like a USB flashdrive and boot that or if I'm extra lazy use something like #Ventoy so I don't need to reflash stuff but can just drag & drop any image onto.

@landley And finally I want to be able to use some legacy hardware like my #P11Z for something else than just looking pretty and run #WindowsXP when it's high-resolution (1600*768px) screen begs for some fancy TUI desktop...

After all, it has the #GMA500 GPU without any good working #Linux driver [publicly available] and I'd rather want a OS that fits neatly in RAM whilst not restricting me too hard...

Either way, I hope to longterm develop OS/1337 as a practical distro for lowest-end machines whilst still retaining features and keeping it smol.

@rasteri 's #WeeCee and #8bitGuy's #CommanderX16 having a one-night-stand and out comes a #distro that runs on decades old #IGEL #ThinClients just as nice as on recently discontinued #Wyse3040 or some classic #Netbooks like the famous #EeePC and #P11Z...

You can see it's old because it still has a #FrontSideBus and used a dedicaded #Chipset (or rather #PCH known as #US15W - but could also be married with other Chipsets like #nVidia #Ion - and only a single core and #HyperThreading...

Not to mention it's an absolute #AssholeMove by all #Laptop manufacturers to not have a #ToolfreeSwappableBattery on their device!

Because there is no valid reason for that shit, when #Panasonic #Toughbook CF-19 were #waterproof with toolfree swappable battery and devices like the #Sony #Vaio #P11Z were thin & light yet had toolfree-swappable batteries...

Es gibt IMHO keinen validen Grund warum Akkus nicht wie beim @Fairphone und @frameworkcomputer austauschbar sein sollten - wenn nicht sogar wie bei Notebooks alla #VAIO #P11Z welche trotz geringer Dicke werkzeugfrei tauschbare Akkus haben!
