There is one thing unique about the USA, compared to the list of convicted ex-leaders.

Hint is already there, “EX-leaders”.

The convictions, if not overturned by proper operation of courts of law, basically ended their political career.

In any other country, at the latest on Thursday afternoon, Trump would have been forced by his own party to resign. Especially as the verdict relates to manipulating the 2016 election.

The USA has literally a long list of issues, starting with

SCOTUS: Trump installed basically a time machine straight back to colonial times onto the Court. They have decades of ruining the USA in front of them, and when they are finished, the Iran of the Ayatollahs will look like a centre of enlightenment and feminist rights.

But that's how the justice system works. Defending yourself is risky, expensive, burdensome. Read it up, DA all over the US have used this to make offers that many defendants simply cannot refuse.

But hey, '16-20 a certain DJT had the opportunity to work on justice reforms to make the system more just and humane.
