Heute gibt's nicht nur einen Kaffee, es geht auch ein wenig um den #Oxo Rapid Brewer, den mit einer der @c3coffeenerds empfohlen hatte und von dem @Zaunei ein wenig intensiv geschwärmt hat.

This is the #OXO Good Grips #mandoline pusher device I mentioned yesterday. The black ABS reinforcement that you can see the edge of triples the thickness of the pusher plate, and is much tougher than the polystyrene I'm fairly sure the plate is actually made of. That plate should NEVER EVER have been an unreinforced, un-buttressed plastic part that thin. The design is acceptable *if the plate were made from food-grade stainless steel*. Iffy, but probably OK, if it were brass. Dubious in Zamac or another zinc die-casting alloy, or in aluminum. But absolutely not acceptable in plastic. This should never have passed #engineering review. It was GOING to break. The only question was when.

My friend Ian and his partner Jules treated me to a nice meal when I was in London (fish and chips, natch). Our waitress was called Kate.
Later, Ian asked, ‘Was it Kate or Katie?’
I said, ‘It was Kate. She doesn’t look like that girl from the Oxo commercials.’
We all got the joke but I suspect we are all now officially old.

El Museo del Videojuego de Málaga (OXO) abrió sus puertas a finales del año pasado y es uno de los más importantes de Europa. Comprende una exposición permamente del videojuego desde sus inicios, el presente y el futuro de una de las industrias más prolíficas y lucrativas del mundo. La exposición temporal está dedicada a Final Fantasy y merece mucho la pena visitarla. Entre otros objetos de colección se encuentra la espada buster de Cloud Strife (FFVII), donada por el youtuber AuronPlay. El museo también incluye un buen número de juegos y simuladores gratuitos para disfrutar, desde el mítico Castlevania, pasando por OutRun, Sonic, SuperMario o Mortal Kombat, entre muchos otros. La colección de mandos, consolas y equipos antiguos es sencillamente increíble.
