Also my first #miniCD. Must say, they're kinda cute :blobfoxheartcute:!
The best alternative to #streaming services is #owning. No licensing issues making your fav songs unavailable, no algorithms pushing whatever is making money, and only AI music if you choose it consciously.

Third, your content should be published on your own website and shared elsewhere — to direct visitors to your site, where your rules apply.
Complaining about being willingly owned by a greedy company is pointless. 😉

Just taught my 15YO a lesson about #owning versus #renting. He wanted to watch the first season of Rick & Morty. So he was going to pay on #Amazon #Prime Video to #streaming it.
Amazon will let you "buy" season 1 for $19. You don't "own" it in any sense of the word own. But if you are willing to wait, you can go on eBay and buy seasons 1-6 on DVD for $22. Then you really do OWN it. You could give them to a friend. You can rip them to your NAS and watch them as much as you want. Amazon can change their streaming technology, their business model, etc, and you'll still be able to watch the thing you "own".
By delaying a bit of instant gratification, he gets a MUCH BETTER deal.
