While pushing Overton Window to the right is widely accepted and normalised, shouldn't we (the left, and if you do not think of yourself as the left you may ignore it this post) do the same? Let's push some radical ideas that will leave some space for compromise. Like for example, forcefull reeducation for conservatives, loosing voting rights if you go to church or maybe even executing people that amass too much capital. I'm willing to compromise on a lot here, for example, instead of hard labour sentences for members of conservative parties, let's just make them illegal. I'd agree on some symbolic community service and financial punishment if there is a good offer from the other side. #left #overton #politics #compromise #us #uk #eu -
Eerlijk gezegd weet ik dat niet. Ik ben al jaren lid, maar tot dusver betrekkelijk weinig actief binnen de partij. Ik heb altijd gevonden dat mijn bijdrage beter was op andere vlakken. Ik overweeg wel nog steeds actief te worden.
Ik wil bijvoorbeeld deze keer daadwerkelijk mee gaan doen met de #campagne, want dit is #écht de laatste keer waar we een kans hebben op iets linkers dan rechts.
Je zal vast weten dat de PvdD er o.a. is om het #Overton 'raam' naar links te trekken? -
