  1. My iPhone 16 Pro was overheating after a quarter-thousand or so photos during a session at Central Dakota Humane Society in Mandan, ND on Friday. So when I later went to edit this photo, things got weird. Luckily, I was able to import it into Lightroom to save the day.

  2. Unfortunately, I still can't use my #studio. When operating on the two #ups units, they #overheat after about an hour because they constantly have to compensate for #undervoltage (voltage a times drops from 220V to 140V). Whitout UPS, my power conditioners refuse to work because of "extreme voltage". So I guess I will have to be patient until we'll eventually get a #solar system up and running. #patience
I trust that there's a good reason for all of this and stay #positive. 🫣️🫣️

  4. I suspect a secondary problem is that the UniFi in-wall units overheat. The dropout problem has been very bad this summer. It also seems to correspond to some of the warmest days. The UAP-U6IW dropped off for more than 24 hours over the weekend and was crazy hot when I finally got around to pulling it off the wall. I need to find a better way to monitor this, as I don’t see this info in the controller.

  6. ‘Something weird is going on’: search for answers as Antarctic sea ice stays at historic lows

Some scientists fear the ‘shocking’ shift is the beginning of a global heating-linked collapse of the ice that could have alarming knock-on effects

  7. @DokoroNuki

I don't hear my fan and that worries me that the device will #overheat.

How do I do the opposite of what you are doing?

I love #DesktopMode, even though I started using gaming mode a bit more lately.

Do you change the fans speed in desktop mode or in gaming mode?

  11. If you are using a MacBook Pro 15inch from 2015, you should consider the current worldwide replacement program from Apple - the battery can overheat and may be able to start burning (German link, but the country can be selected at the top):
